VAIN
Vain were formed in San Francisco in the mid-1980s: the band were led by lead vocalist Davy Vain (also an accomplished lead guitarist), and in its original guise featured Danny West and Jamie Scott on guitars, Ashley Mitchell on bass guitar and Tommy Rickard on drums. They released the album “Move On It” through Heavy Metal Records in Europe, to critical acclaim (Paul Sut, for example, called it “an essential purchase.”)
The follow up, “Fade,” was released through Revolver Records. The line up that made this album saw Jamie Scott replaced with Sean Rowie on guitar, Tommy Rickard returning to play drums, the addition of Chris Adams on piano, and while Ashley Mitchell remained involved, helping with production and playing some guitar, Louie Senor is credited with playing the bass on this album.
