Biography:
Diamond Head were formed in 1976 in Stourbridge in the West Midlands. Though their career did not hit the highs that it deserved, Diamond Head are recognized as one of the leaders of the NWOBHM and are acknowledged as a major influence on bands that followed, most notably Metallica and Megadeth.
Heavy Metal Records released not one but two Diamond Head compilation albums. Am I Evil was first released on our sister label FM Revolver Records (famed for The Stone Roses and Magnum amongst many others!) in 1987 and was re-released in 1994 on the Heavy Metal Records label. Likewise, 'Behold The Beginning' was released in 1986 by a label called Metal Masters and later re-released in 1991 on the HMR label in CD format.
